Any district would be extremely lucky to have Chad Forde! The Western Wisconsin College Fair that Chad put together in January was by far the most organized fair I have attended as a rep. It was apparent that a lot of time and planning went into making the fair as organized and well attended as it was. Lastly, the information and communicative efforts on Chad's end in the weeks leading up to the event made all of the logistics a breeze for those of us attending (this isn't always the case and it is much appreciated). It's clear that Chad is passionate about this area of education and that he would bring a lot to this role.

Chad would be AMAZING working or teaching in your district!! Let's just put it this way, we had no clue this was even a fair to attend until Chad personally reached out and invited us to attend via a phone call and email. Chad explained how he felt University of Wyoming would be a great option for many of the River Falls students because of the previous work he had done with students at another school within the Rocky Mountain region. Chad has provided copious amounts of information on recruitment opportunities within the region and is extremely organized. Chad does a great job organizing the fair, not just from the schools in attendance, but with the directions, pre and post-fair information, the actual attendance of students and parents, and so much more. Chad is 100% dedicated to his students and helping them find the best post-secondary opportunity. I think he would be an irreplaceable asset to any school.

Chad's enthusiasm towards preparing River Falls students for college shows in his communication with area post-secondary options, as well as in his planning and execution of the River Falls HS College Fair. I have attended a variety of college fairs in Northwestern WI and MN, and the River Falls HS College Fair is by far one of the best developed and executed that I've had the pleasure of attending. Chad goes above and beyond to include a variety of schools and military branches in this event, and I'm sure in a role related to college & career readiness he would strive to find new opportunities for students to explore their options!

I think Chad’s strongest skills are his attention to detail, follow through, and networking. Chad has built strong relationships with college representatives from dozens of regional and national institutions, encompassing technical, 2 year and 4 year options to better serve the needs of the students and parents of River Falls. As a college representative, the dedication Chad has shown to educating himself on the changing options and requirements of so many institutions is refreshing. I can trust that the everyday conversations being had between Chad and students/parents continues to act as daily reminders about what options are out there- including my institution- which is greatly appreciated. As a regionally-based admissions representative covering 4 states, I can say with confidence that Chad has done one of the best jobs for the past two years not only organizing the College Fair held at River Falls, but truly preparing the students for the opportunity. Too often college fairs are a great thought, but without student preparation and buy in the best conversations do not happen. I also have admired Chad’s dedication to seeking feedback to continually provide a fair that institutions want to attend, but also to ensure that he is offering the best opportunity for River Falls families. Chad is on the pulse of college resources and would be a passionate cheerleader, honest advisor, and fierce advocate for any student pursuing a career or college out of high school.

Out of the dozens of fairs I did in 2017-18, I commented to other reps that this one was the best in terms of organization. That said, it is actually funny to find out that Chad was not even the school’s “full time” college counselor. Let me tell you, based on the hundred plus I have met, he’s in the top 10% of counselors already. I would honestly say that Chad went above and beyond, and would highly recommend him to any school.

I have been to over 100 visits at different schools and he was easily the most present and approachable. Very organized and I felt welcome. He is the perfect fit for any college & career readiness role.

Chad is super prepared! Having done the River Falls High School Fair the past two years, I have not once felt ill prepared to attend the event. I have attended many "first- and second-year college fairs, River Falls hands down was the most prepared and most successful of all.

Chad is more than able to communicate with people and to be positive and friendly during those conversations. There is no project that Chad cannot complete. He is the definition of a go-getter. I hold Chad in the highest esteem and strongly recommend him for any position, where I feel he will continue to apply himself to the best of his ability.

I have appreciated Chad's thorough communications in the past. His organizational skills are apparent as well as his attention to detail. Networking is very important in this role, and I feel like Chad would be more than qualified to adhere to that.

Chad has already demonstrated the ability to communicate and coordinate with representatives from a large number of colleges. He's "recruited" large and small schools for the fair, organized informational sessions, and pulled in large numbers of students and parents. There is more to college/career counseling than fairs, but this initial groundwork sets him up well to connect his students with a wide variety of post-secondary options and the means of helping them get there.
